Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time in college, Christopher Meloni has been interested in the acting world. He pursued a degree in acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he's appeared in films and in television shows but it's the actors portrayed in small screen that have given him popularity. There is no doubt that he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters on both one side of the law. In the first television show, he played the part of a murderer. Then, he went on to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. He's been nominated numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen performance. The actor is famous for his blue piercing eyes, which have turned into the trademark of his character and has helped him in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. He was listed on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
